Messi Has Brief Dalliance with Perfection on Stunning Free Kick

What else is there to say about Messi?

¡GOLAZO DE MESSI! Leo convirtió de tiro libre el 1-0 ante Colombia, en San Juan https://t.co/zEq8PhE6GG

Lionel Messi and Argentina are playing Colombia today in World Cup qualifying, and Messi just hit a free kick that will make you say "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Messi, Messi, Messi, futbol, futbol, futbol." Ah, sorry, that's what it made this guy say in the video, but still, the point stands. It was as if sculpted by Michelangelo himself, and the only reason it's not his David is because it kissed ever so gently off the cross bar, the only real chance David Ospina had to stop it.

It comes just four months after Messi said he was retiring from international play following a lose to Chile in the Copa America final. Obviously, he changed his mind since then, but his team still faces an uphill battle to make it to Russia for the 2018 World Cup after losing 3-0 to Brazil and dropping to sixth in South American qualifying. It'll take more than a goal like this, ten minutes in, to get the job done, but it certainly won't hurt.
