The World's Oldest Hockey Rivalry: VWOS
Hockey’s “Gibson Cup” is as old as the sport itself, and in a quiet Michigan town where the game was first born, two teams have been battling for it for over 100 years.
"Of the major pro sports, hockey is the oldest after baseball. The Upper Peninsula is the birthplace of American Hockey, and we could feel that while we were there. Hockey is an institution up there, and they are very proud of that."
