Miami Mascot Picks a Snowball Fight with Opposing Fans in Snowy Sun Bowl

Some tomfoolery from the snow bird.

Miami was out of their element in the El Paso-based Sun Bowl against Washington State—in more ways than one. The game ended up 20-14 in favor of the dominant Cougars, and the Hurricanes had to deal with some conditions not typical to Florida, or Texas, for that matter. I'm talking snow. Lots of it.

So, to commemorate his snow bird situation, Miami's Mascot, Sebastian the Ibis, decided to partake in some tomfoolery and start chucking snow balls at some Washington State Fans.

They probably deserved it.

The irony is that the game seemed primed for some sunny times, as Jason Gesser confirmed before kickoff:

But things later took to white-out level snowy, obscuring playing conditions. It wasn't pretty, but it also wasn't enough of an excuse for the Hurricanes' loss, who have struggled this season. It was the kind of life-gives-you snowy lemons conditions, and Sebastian made lemonade.
