Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 26th of October, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

The other day former DFB chief Theo Zwanziger said current DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach definitely knew about the slush fund allegedly used to bribe a number of FIFA electors and bring the 2006 World Cup to Germany. Over the weekend, he made it clear Beckenbauer, who was on the bid committee, was also fully aware if not integral to the deal. According to Zwanziger, Franz Beckenbauer found himself in a predicament. "Run with the wolves? Or make himself into a real, ethical, clean businessman? He chose the other path." (Link in German)

The most exciting spectacle this weekend was probably the Rugby World Cup, which featured two great games. New Zealand beat South Africa 20-18 and Australia beat Argentina 29-15, in a game that was close until the last five minutes or so. Australia will take on arch rival New Zealand in Saturday's final.

SUPERWEDGIE!

Moto GP legend Valentino Rossi kicked his competitor Marc Marquez during the Malaysian Grand Prix. Marquez crashed out as a result. Rossi was given a points penalty and will begin the final race of the season in last place on the grid—which means he probably won't take this year's world title.
