Jamie Garragher just might regret his magic loogie.

After Manchester United defeated Liverpool 2-1 on Saturday, the former Liverpool player and current Sky Sports commentator was being provoked by a Manchester United fan, and so he decided to hock a huge one toward the untoward fan.

Inconvenient for Carragher that he ended up hitting the man's innocent daughter in the process. Let's also take note that her dad probably shouldn't have been filming while driving and using his daughter as a spit shield for his bullshit—after she repeatedly said "stop it."

The spitting incident landed Carragher a suspension from Sky Sports for the remainder of the season. Take a look at this pretty vile loogie he launches at the heckler:

Carragher, who issued an apology prior to his suspension, described the incident as "unacceptable," "a moment of madness," and the "worst mistake." Per the Guardian:

“I’ll speak to the family again. I’m sorry. I’ll apologize again today properly,” he said. When asked if he had seen the girl in the car, Carragher replied: “I didn’t to be honest, she was leant back. I wish she wasn’t involved. I hate that she was involved more than anything.”

He added:

“I would find it hard to know what I would say or how I would react if it happened to my daughter. I’ve made mistakes in my 25-year career, but this is the worst one.”

The Guardian also obtained a statement from Sky Sports about his suspension:

“Following an internal review, Sky has suspended Jamie Carragher for the remainder of the football season. Jamie has taken full responsibility for what has happened and we will ensure he gets the help he needs to guarantee something like this never happens again. Before the start of the next season we will sit down with Jamie to discuss whether he is ready to return to his role.”

Seems like Carragher will stick to doling out a good old fashioned raspberry from here on out instead.
