Seems crazy to say this, since everyone in the organization denied it was ever a factor, but the New England Patriots might have been just a little bit motivated by Roger Goodell's insane witch hunt against Tom Brady and the team's (alleged!) penchant for cheating. We're not here to relitigate Deflategate on New England's Special Day, but it seems clear that this was something that irked the team. And well, now that they won another Super Bowl, they have as many fucks left to give as Atlanta had points in the fourth quarter.Like when LeBron James stepped out of a plane wearing an Ultimate Warrior shirt hours after the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 series lead, Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia stepped out of a plane hours after helping engineer the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history and co-authoring the Tom Brady Redemption story, in a shirt that makes Goodell literally look like a clown.This is the smart play, really. Sides are already drawn and everyone who thinks you are heel will forever think you are heel.
