American Pharoah Wins Preakness, Sets Up Triple Crown Run

American Pharoah won the 140th Preakness and now has a shot at a Triple Crown.

In rain-soaked slop at Pimlico, American Pharoah won the 140th running of the Preakness Stakes with a time of 1:58:48. Jockey Victor Espinoza rode American Pharoah to a five-length lead over Tale of Verve, Divining Rod, and Dortmund respectively. Trainer Bob Baffert has yet another chance at a Triple Crown with the running of the Belmont Stakes on June 6th, but first he should give his poor horsey a bath.
