Recruit Pump-Fakes Miss. St. and Tosses Hat Before Committing to Ole Miss

Tae-Kion Reed looked like he was going to sign with Mississippi State, but threw their hat at the last second and chose Ole Miss instead.

"The man that strives for greatness is the man that makes it." — Tae-Kion Reed

It remains to be seen if Tae-Kion Reed, a three-star defensive tackle out of Columbus, Mississippi, is going to own Oxford's trenches for the next four years. When it comes to high-level trolling, however, the man has achieved greatness already.

Robby Donoho, sports director at WCBI-TV, captured Reed's evil genius for all the SEC to see.

New Hope's @Taekion Reed not only picked the Ole Miss hat & signed with the Rebels, he chucked the MSU hat across the room. That's a first! pic.twitter.com/W8wNMO1rXi

According to Alec Shirkey of SEC Today, Reed committed to the Bulldogs in mid-January, but decided to pull the Ol' Ole Miss Okey-Doke on national signing day. He made it official by pretending to don a Mississippi State lid, and then chucking it across the room.

Good fun stuff from Reed. There was, of course, the inevitable social media cracks—"immature," "tacky," "wack ass," and the four-star "threw away the Egg Bowl with that hat"—but Reed doesn't seem to care.
