USMNT's Danny Williams Scored a Peach of a Goal for Reading on the Half-Volley

It's not every day you see a USMNT player doing something good.

Boy howdy. The U.S. Men's National Team hasn't been the stuff of "good news" or "highlights" recently. But Danny Williams certainly lit up the screen today with an absolute stunner of a goal for his side Reading against Blackburn in the Championship today.

There's something majestic about it. After being trailed by two defenders, Williams strikes a half-volley that curls its way past the outstretched fingers of the keeper in a line that befits an M.C. Escher type of logic. Somehow, the keeper leans far forward to stop it, but the ball buries itself into the upper left.

Stunning. Now, if only we could see some of that and a salute from Williams while he's wearing the good old red, white, and blue. Sigh.
