Browns Almost Execute a Pick Six, Give Steelers a Touchback Instead

Instead of just holding on to the ball and dealing with coming up short, Boddy-Calhoun wanted to go for full-on glory.

Look at these Cleveland Browns, coming out here with their one win this season, acting like some big boys. And it's not a half bad showing. At the end of the third quarter, they're leading the mighty 10-5 Steel Curtain by seven points at the end of the third quarter. And oh my god! Look! They even pulled off this impressive pick six!

Browns cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun read Landry Jones like a young adult novel, and picked off a pass, while a lazy offensive line pitifully tried to knock him down. Zounds! A rare Browns touchdown!

But wait. Oh, but just you wait:

Yup. Instead of just holding on to the ball and dealing with coming up short, Boddy-Calhoun wanted to go for full-on glory, as he tried to break the plane with outstretched arms. But Pittsbugh's Darrius Heyward-Bey wanted none of that, and effectively wrapped himself around Boddy-Calhoun at just the right time to send the ball into orbit for a Steelers recovery and a touchback.

Well, that was embarrassing. And now the Steelers have drawn level in the fourth quarter. Yikes.
