Pep Guardiola Threatened to Cut Off Bayern's Balls if They Lost to Juventus

A compelling locker room speech, if I've ever heard one.

The Champions League requires a ballsy level of play. When Europe's best teams coming together across all leagues, it's deviously competitive. With the stakes so high, the occasion warrants the highest level of threats from managers in case of a loss: that of castration. Obviously.

According to Thomas Müller, Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola got heated after going down 2-0 to Juventus during yesterday's Round of 16 match—enough so that he threatened to remove his team's, ahem, manhood, if they lost.

"He told us that he'd cut our balls off," Müller said, according to Kicker. "Of course, there are a lot of emotions. I wouldn't be any different as a coach. We wanted to play for the third goal, because we still had energy left in us."

Threats of castration were enough to make them bounce back from being down 4-2 on aggregate to a 4-4 aggregate tie in spectacular fashion. And then they seal the deal with a pair of goals in extra time.

If you didn't watch Champions League today, you missed one heck of a Bayern Munich comeback. #UCLonFOX https://t.co/qlre2rlYXi
