Draymond Green Will Be at the A's Game During Warriors' Potential Series-Clincher Tonight

Draymond Green picked up a flagrant foul in a tussle with LeBron James during Game 4 on Friday night. Prior to this Finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Green alreadyhad three flagrants and, under league rules, he was facing an automatic one-game suspension if he picked up one more. The NBA announced yesterday that he was being assessed with his fourth flagrant foul after he hit LeBron with his patented move, the nutshot, thus triggering a suspension.

Under the NBA's suspension rules, Green is not allowed in the building for the game, so reports are saying that he will be watching the potential title-clinching Game 5 from a suite in O.co Coliseum during the Athletics game tonight. O.co and Oracle Arena are connected by tunnel so, should Golden State win, Green would be able to get back to his team quickly and easily enough to enjoy the repeat championship with his teammates afterward.

Green was also docked one game check for the suspension, worth $140,000. Players also face an additional fine of $2,000 if they attend a game from which they have been suspended. Green has been fined quite a bit during Golden State's playoff run—including $25,000 for kicking Steven Adams in the nuts—so presumably he was tired of giving away his money and decided to stay away from Oracle, even though the Warriors might clinch the title.

First pitch between Oakland and the Texas Rangers is 7 PM local time, and tipoff of Game 5 is at 6 PM local time.
