Brandon Marshall Offers Crazy Bet To Antonio Brown Involving a Rolls-Royce and Porsche

Brandon Marshall thinks he can get more receiving yards this season than Antonio Brown. He's willing to bet his expensive car to prove it.

On a recent episode of Ballers (yes, I watch Ballers, let's move on) there was an entire scene shot at a the birthday party of one of the main characters, a star wide receiver for the fictional Dolphins. It was pretty crazy. It's probably best not to describe it here but there was a chainsaw and stuff that wasn't PG-13. Anyway, any sensible-minded non-athlete probably watched that and thought, "No way that actually happens in real life."

Never assume anything. Just remember that athletes, and rich people, live in a different world. Want Exhibit No. infinity? Look at the bet that Brandon Marshall and Antonio Brown seem to be making.

Marshall, the voluble Jets wide receiver, went on his Instagram and put out a challenge to Steelers receiver Antonio Brown. If Brown puts up more receiving yards in 2016, he gets a Porsche — the very one Marshall is standing next to in the video. If Marshall gets more yards, he gets Brown's Rolls-Royce.

Brown seemed ready for it. He responded to TMZ: "He don't really wanna do that. He just wants some PR. He too old to be doing that…The RR is about $100k up [from the value of the Porsche]…If he really serious, CALL ME … I'll gladly accept. Don't Internet it."

There's a lot to digest there. "Don't Internet It" has to become a meme. Let's make it happen.

But basically this is like a fantasy football bet except the players are drafting themselves.

Marshall, 32, is coming off the best season of his career. He had 1,502 yards last year and 14 touchdowns. His quarterback, the hirsute Ryan Fitzpatrick just re-signed. Marshall is probably feeling a little cocky.

Brown, however, might just be the best receiver in football. He's got, youth, speed and has a quarterback who is not Ryan Fitzpatrick on his side. He piled up 1,834 yards last year on 136 catches. And he had 1,698 the year before that. And 1,499 in 2014. Let's make him the heavy favorite in this wager.

And all stipulate that Brown's Rolls-Royce is pretty damn nice.
