Steelers Execute Fake Spike for a TD, But Cowboys Win With Ezekiel Elliott's Last-Second Drive

Two wonderful drives that finished in Elliott gutting the Steelers' defense like a fish.

Oh, this could not have been a more exciting football game if you tried. Let's just get to the meat of it, shall we?

The Steelers were down 24-29 against the Dallas Cowboys with less than a minute on the clock. They executed a phenomenal drive, which saw a grown man hurdle another grown man for a huge gain. But the real fireworks came out moments later, when Ben Roethlisberger administered a Dan-Marino-esque fake spike that confused the hell out of the Cowboys, giving Big Ben all the time he needed in the pocket—while Antonio Brown had only some trailing coverage to shake for a drop-in TD to the far corner. Masterfully executed.

That fake spike made my Dallas Cowboys do the mannequin challenge.

Good tweet.

But then! THEN! The Cowboys took hold, marched it up the field to the 32 yardline, when, instead of going for a throw with 15 seconds on the clock, like most teams would have done, Dak Prescott went for his bread and butter Ezekiel Elliott for a slick drive up the center seam.

Like gutting a fish. And so too gutted were the Steelers with the score closing out at 35-30. Hell yeah, football!
