Luke Walton Completely Lost His Shit, Earning First Ejection of Coaching Career

Luke Walton didn't even make it through the first quarter in Sacramento before getting tossed.

Lakers coach Luke Walton has a reputation as a laid-back bro, but he was spitting fire on Monday night, mostly in the direction of referee Monty McCutcheon following a no-call on Kings center DeMarcus Cousins for taking down Julius Randle. Walton not only earned the first ejection of his coaching career—he secured a place in the pantheon of great NBA on-court blowups.

Walton's tirade, which came less than eight minutes into the game, had it all: copious use of the word "motherfucker," a bit of "hold me back" posturing as his own player tried to steer him toward the locker room, a dash of rage-stripping while heading back to the locker room, and a creepy, thousand-yard serial-killer stare reminiscent of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

Walton likely grew even more pissed from the locker room as Sacramento outscored the Lakers 39-13 in the third quarter en route to a 116-92 victory. It was Los Angeles' seventh loss in a row, a fact that won't help soothe Walton's rage.
