Ron Cherry is the head referee of today's game between USC vs Notre Dame, and found himself caught in a strange and scary circumstance where he was hit head-to-head by a USC player. The incident went down after Michael Hutchings, a 6'1" 215lb linebacker for USC, carried through his momentum and only raised his head up at the last second—too late before plowing over an unfortunate Cherry. Cherry was taken off the field after a long commercial break to check in on him. He was up and walking, but still no word yet on his condition.
