The Drip Doctors Episode Keeps Getting Worse For Samir Nasri

From hacked account to possible doping ban, it's been a rough couple months for Samir Nasri

Last we checked in with monsieur Samir Nasri—erstwhile French national team and Manchester City star now on loan at Seville—he was in the midst of a Twitter dispute with the Drip Doctors, a "IV Vitamin Therapy & Lifestyle Medspa" located in Los Angeles, where Nasri spent his winter break. On December 27th, the Drip Doctors Tweeted about Nasri's visit, and the following day the player drew attention to the Tweet by alleging the treatment had came with a number of sexual favors. He later said his account was hacked.

The hacking was only the beginning of the problem for Nasri. Yesterday, The Independent reported that Nasri faces a possible four-year doping ban for his Drip Doctors treatment. Under WADA rules, athletes are allowed a maximum intravenous treatment of 50 ml every six hours. The "Immunity IV Drip" the Drip Doctors tweeted about is a 1-liter treatment.

More from The Independent: "Nasri would have needed a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) to be exempt from the regulation. But the picture from Spain is confused, with Sevilla offering no sense that he either needed or secured a TUE. They have admitted they were unaware the player was having the treatment in LA."

My hunch is that if Nasri is banned, it wouldn't be for the full four years, but we'll have to wait and see. Nasri is now back in Spain. He started in last night's 3-0 Copa del Rey loss to Real Madrid.
