John Tavares' Absurd Game-Winning Play Is Going to Haunt Sean Couturier's Dreams

We could watch this on loop all day. Pure dominance.

Is there a more beautiful sight on Earth than watching two gritty ice soldiers smashing each other and mucking it out along the boards until one victorious soul emerges from the chilly shadows with the prized biscuit? Probably.

But for hockey fans who enjoy every ounce of talent that John Tavares has to offer, his display of body positioning, strength, skating ability, puck handling, and vision on this overtime helper on Wednesday may be the pinnacle of world-class skill.

He weaved side to side for nearly 15 seconds in all as he protected the puck from one of the best defensive forwards in the game in Sean Couturier, and held on brilliantly even after being knocked down to the ice. Eventually, Tavares pulled some one-handed wizardry out of his trick bag and nearly broke Couturier's ankles before firing a dart over to a wide open Josh Bailey for the winner.

Inject this shit into my veins.
