Washington Throws a Pick-Six, Gets a 17-Yard Gain

I mean, if football were like horizontal basketball, then yes. Dude got it. Otherwise, this is just an unfortunate situation for the man.

Sometimes things just don't go your way. Imagine feeling like you're on the verge of scoring a touchdown after nabbing a beautiful interception, and all you have to do is outstretch your hand, hold onto the ball, and break the plane. A defensive dream.

Well, C.J. Mosley was inches—and maybe a spidey-grip—away from doing just that, but instead, after picking off Kirk Cousins, the ball popped out and shot through to the end zone, only to cause a touchback and send it back to Washington. I mean, if football were like horizontal basketball, then yes. Dude got it. Otherwise, this is just an unfortunate situation for the man.

Mosley was just left there, looking like Adam reaching out to God in the Sistine Chapel—so close, but not quite there.

While that's a failed pick six for Baltimore, Washington was at the three yardline when Cousins threw the interception. The touchback moved them up to the 20, so that's a 17-yard gain. Maybe Cousins should be aiming for some purple numbers from here on out.
