Some Bills Fans Set Up a Kaepernick "Muslim" Tackling Dummy, While Others Marched in Solidarity With Him

So, between the one march in solidarity, and the multiple, multiple offensive and threatening things said about Kaepernick, we can just say it's a wash, right?

With tailgaiting Buffalo Bills fans, you never really know what you're going to get. And that's keeping in mind that butt shots, suplexes, and lighting themselves on fire are all par for the course at this point. But you knew something ugly was coming with this week's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Don't catch my drift? Think: Colin Kaepernick. Yeah, now you get it.

Well, the pre-game activities couldn't be any more diametrically opposed, as you have a very peaceful and respectful march in solidarity with Kaepernick's protest against police brutality and racial injustice, above—the protesters also said that they would kneel during the anthem with the 49ers quarterback.

And then you have a bunch of fans who set up a tackling dummy with a 'fro wig and a red jersey with the number seven on it, while yelling "tackle the Muslim."

No, Kaepernick is not muslim. So, yup—it pretty much looks like a Trump rally out there.

Some fans were even selling t-shirts with a picture of Kaepernick set in the crosshairs.

(Kaepernick, meanwhile, showed up in Orchard Park wearing a Muhammad Ali t-shirt.)

When Kaepernick came out on to the field, one fan yelled "your parents didn't even like you" to the adopted quarterback. This is a human being we're talking about here, people.

And then, to get a better udnerstanding of the scale of etno-nationalist pride, fans chanted USA, USA as Kaepernick took a knee.

So, between the one march in solidarity, and the multiple, multiple offensive and threatening things said and done about Kaepernick's appearance at New Era Field, we can just say it's a wash, right? Maybe? This is a shameful time in American history.
