Browns' New RB Carlos Hyde Might Regret 'Cleveland Sports Are Horrible' Tweet

An old tweet from the former San Francisco 49ers running back resurfaced and it probably won't endear him to Cleveland Browns fans.

The future is hard to predict. It forks with a complex network of paradoxes of free will and determinism that make up an uncountable number of possibilities. (Think about the hit 1998 romcom Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow—but times infinity.) But when there are only 32 choices of teams you—an Ohio State running back making your way to the pros—can play on in the NFL, it's best not to insult any one in particular.

That's the mess that Carlos Hyde has found himself in after agreeing to a free-agent contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, with the historically awful Cleveland Browns.

That's all fine and good, but way back in 2011, when Hyde was a sophomore at Ohio State, he tweeted out this following gem:

Of all the (32) possibilities, he goes to the Cleveland Browns. Huh. Isn't that funny.

Perhaps the even more hilarious thing is that yes, in 2011, all Cleveland pro sports teams were horrible. But since then, the Cavaliers have won a championship (2016) the same year the city's baseball pushed the Cubs to Game 7 of the World Series. The Browns, however, went 0-16 last season. Have fun with your new neighbors, Carlos.
