Nice Man Gets Emotional After Wife Gives Him Lifelong-Dream Rose Bowl Tickets

Sports certainly made this man's life better. And for that we should be grateful.

Sports can be bleak. The scoreboard flicks back and forth and it all means a whole lot of something until the game is over and it resets to zero. What's the point? Well, it's the people that make sports meaningful.

In the case of this one gentleman, you can maybe learn to love again—or at least rediscover the beauty of giving people nice things. Here's the description from YouTube poster MooFasa91:

My friends [sic] dad has always wanted to go to the Rose Bowl. His favorite team, Penn State, is playing in it this year. His wife surprised him wife tickets.

You see our man opening a present from his wife that reveals an actual bowl of roses (great touch, by the way), and he can't seem to handle himself as he puts two-and-two together to realize he's just been gifted an opportunity to see his favorite team in his favorite bowl. It's just so nice. Maybe it's the moment of realizing a dream—maybe it's the kindness of his wife. Maybe it's just everything blended together. But sports certainly made this man's life better. And for that we should be grateful.

UPDATE:

Nittany Lions coach James Franklin ended up calling the nice man and thanking him for his dedication, and told him that he'll have a care package waiting for him in Pasadena. The magic of internet.

When you're so state that @coachjfranklin has to say thank you himself! #WeAre #PennStateForever pic.twitter.com/Snc6f18S88
