The Blue Jays won Tuesday's thrilling, [extra-inning wild-card game](https://sports.vice.com/ca/article/the-blue-jays-delivered-another-signature-october-moment) against the Orioles on an Edwin Encarnacion walk-off homer in front of the home crowd at Rogers Centre in Toronto. It was the [perfect way to kick off](https://sports.vice.com/ca/highlight/encarnacion-hits-walk-off-homer-to-power-blue-jays-past-orioles-in-thrilling-al-wild-card-game) the 2016 postseason.

Encarnacion was all smiles, hours before he would become Toronto's latest postseason hero.

If playoff nerves were a thing, you wouldn't know it looking at the Blue Jays.

And ready he was. Bautista went yard to open the scoring.

As was Donaldson, who delivered a key leadoff double in the ninth. The game remained tied 2-2 going into the 11th.

In the end, Encarnacion's day finished the way it started: with a smile on his face. And for good reason.
