Toronto FC won their first MLS Cup over the weekend after getting revenge on a Seattle Sounders team that beat them on home soil the year before. In the rematch at BMO Field, it was Jozy Altidore who played the role of hero—busting open a scoreless game with a goal in the 67th minute to earn the 2017 MLS Cup MVP. Victor Vazquez then added a goal late to seal the 2-0 victory and cap off TFC's dominant season.

After setting a league regular-season record with 69 points to earn their first Supporters' Shield, TFC didn't let up in the playoffs, finishing off the most impressive year in MLS history with a win in front of their rabid fans in Toronto.
