Good morning, America. It's August 8, 2016. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by every morning for more headlines from around the world.

The whole Russian Paralympic team has been suspended from the Paralympics in the wake of the country's doping scandal.

Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten suffered an extremely gnarly crash in the 141-kilometer Olympic cycling race, fracturing her back in three places (Yikes!). She was in first place when she went down, too.

The Brazilian men's soccer team has now played 180 minutes of soccer in the Olympic tournament without scoring or being scored on, most recently tying Iraq, 0-0. Fun!

My colleague Aaron Gordon is down in Rio for the Olympics. He'll be writing regular updates—like this one, from a protest outside the Opening Ceremonies—as the Games go on.

It finally happened! Six PGA golfers have shot a round of 59, but never a 58. Jim Furyk just became the first. — ESPN (@espn)August 7, 2016

It's finally happening. Via Manchester United's website: "Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United."

Weirdly, during Community Shield, United manager Jose Mourinho subbed on Juan Mata and then took him off later in the match. Following the game, he said he took him off because he was too short, and the team needed more height. When Mourinho was at Chelsea, he sold Mata to United. The Spaniard should probably look for a new club.

Last summer, in a team-building exercise before the Rugby World Cup, members of the Scottish rugby team were apparently forced to kill a bunch of rabbits with their bare hands, to "toughen them up."
