Marian Gaborik's Girlfriend Takes Puck to the Face at Kings Game

His girlfriend, Ivana Surovcova, needed 10 stitches to close the wound, but appears to be OK. She's hockey tough.

Hockey can be a dangerous game, even for the spectators. That's something Ivana Surovcova learned the hard way.

Surovcova, the girlfriend of Kings forward Marian Gaborik, took a puck to the face during Los Angeles' game against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. The result? Ten stitches to the side of the face, and presumably a scar that would make any hockey player proud.

Surovcova was posted up behind the Kings bench when a flying puck came traveling into the stands and connected with the side of her face, according to a Puck Daddy eyewitness.

She took it like a champ, though, posting to Instagram that she's now a real hockey girlfriend.

Gaborik, himself, was impressed with her toughness.

Tough lil warrior❤. The puck knew to hit on the hottest girl in the crowd. — Marian Gaborik (@MGaborik12)February 2, 2017

The good news is that she appears to be OK. As Gaborik said, she's a warrior.
