Watch: Aussie Tom Rogic’s Scottish Cup Winner For Celtic

"The way we played in the second half showed we were on the front foot. We had chance after chance, I think it was just a matter of time. We had trust in our fitness, whether it was gonna go into extra time or not," said the Australian football hero.

Socceroos star, Tom Rogic, put the icing on Celtic's record-breaking undefeated season with a stoppage time goal to seal a 2-1 victory in the Scottish Cup.

The win sees the Glasgow giants extend their record to 37 Scottish Cups, capping a remarkable season in which they won the treble and became the first team in history to do so with an unbeaten domestic record.

"I think for everyone to go undefeated throughout the whole season, the league and get the treble is something special. It's an amazing feeling," Rogic said afterwards.

Celtic went down one-nil inside ten minutes courtesy of a spectacular half-volley from Aberdeen's Jonny Hayes off a Niall Mcginn corner. Stuart Armstrong equalised minutes later for Celtic with a low, crisp strike from the edge of the box before the match settled into a thrilling arm wrestle.

Celtic created the bulk of opportunities in the second half and were unlucky not to go ahead. A minute and a half into stoppage time, the ball fell to Rogic 35 meters out from goal. The Australian, who has suffered a season hampered by injury, put it all behind him as he set off on a strong run, beating the first defender before fooling the second with his prized left foot only to slot it past the keeper with his right from the edge of the five yard box.

"It happened so quick it's hard to put into words. It's just an amazing feeling to happen right in the last minute. We showed in the second half our quality. We should have had the game put to bed but that's football sometimes. I think the way it ended made it a bit more sweet," he said.
