The Texas Longhorns have been grappling with whether or not to let go of football head coach Charlie Strong, who has been with the team since 2014. But today, various outlets are reporting that Strong was indeed fired.

Strong saw this season to a dismal 5-7, being defeated by the likes of Cal, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas State, West Virginia, Kansas, and TCU. What is apparent, though, is that the Longhorns have a long way to regain national relevance. Strong, an all around good coach, might just be the beginning.
