Madison Bumgarner hit Yasiel Puig on the ankle with a 1-2 pitch in the first inning and the benches cleared. The two have a bit of a history with each other—Bumgarner is in the anti-bat flip camp—and even if it wasn't intentional, shit got tense. Everyone calmed down after the initial brouhaha, but it seems Bumgarner was still a little fired up. He took Zack Greinke deep on an 0-2 count in the third inning, a feat Vin Scully termed "embarrassing" for Greinke.

It was Bumgarner's fourth homer of the season and after all the fireworks, he was still feeling that adrenaline, and maybe even peeked out to centerfield.
