Jared Dudley Shoots Backwards

Jared Dudley managed to shoot a basketball the wrong way last night. But he still told his teammate "nice pass."

There's a funny scene in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles when John Candy has been driving for some time while Steve Martin sleeps. Some wackiness goes down when Candy tries to take off his jacket and his arms get stuck behind his seat; the car spins out of control and crosses onto the other side of the road before coming to a stop. Everything is OK, though, because it's late at night and the roads are empty. So Candy gets back on the highway, driving on the wrong side of the road and Steve Martin wakes up soon after.

At a certain point, another car appears on the road, driving parallel to Candy and Martin. He's trying to get their attention by doing whatever he can—yelling, honking his horn—because they are driving on the wrong side of the road. He tries yelling across the divider to them "You're going the wrong way!" Once Candy and Martin figure out what he's shouting from all the way on the correct side of the road, Candy responds "Ah, he's drunk. How does he know where we're going?"

They ignore him and narrowly escape death when they wind up driving between two semis driving in the correct direction and their car eventually catches fire.

I guess what I'm saying is, this little vignette could have also played out between a couple of dust mites or something on the ball before Jared Dudley tried shooting it. He still gave Giannis Antetokounmpo props for the pass, though, which was nice.
