Good morning, America. Welcome to the VICE Sports World News Roundup. Be sure to stop by daily for your morning headlines.

It's the 12th of December, 2015. After a couple day absence due to reporting stories in the field, it's good to be back!

Sepp Blatter, by the way, is still, technically, president of FIFA.

Like Blatter, Michel Platini, the president of UEFA, is suspended from FIFA. He tried to fight his suspension at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and lost! Sorry, Michel.

Colombian footballer Teofilo Gutierrez scored for Sporting Lisbon last night. In his goal celebration, he took referee Manuel Grafe's free kick spray. The celebration didn't go well. Gutierrez received a yellow card.

This is a day old, but England's Sara Cox, who is just 25, will become the first female Rugby Football Union referee. She hopes to ref matches at the Olympics.

Some sad news from Honduras: footballer Arnold Peralta was murdered in a car park. Peralta played 26 times for Honduras and enjoyed a brief European career at Rangers. He was only 26 years old.

And now, I preview this weekend's European soccer action. There aren't too many tasty looking matches, to be honest. The most intriguing matchup comes from Germany, where Leverkusen plays Gladbach. Both teams are in good form, with Gladbach recently beating Bayern. Leverkusen isn't in quite the same form, but they have Chicharito.
