Young Canadian Tennis Player Makes Incredible Between-the-Legs Shot

Teen tennis prodigy Denis Shapovalov lobbed a tweener neatly inside of the paint, and his next shot was a cross-court winner.

Ah, the raw confidence of youth. You don't have enough experience to know better—and why should you? You just know what you feel, and sometimes, you're just feeling the stoke. For 17-year-old Canadian tennis prodigy Denis Shapovalov (try saying it—it's fun), that feeling came in his match today at the Rogers Cup. When his opponent's aggressive return caught him wrong-footed and forced him onto his heels, Shapovalov did what came naturally. That is, he instinctively brought his racquet around behind his legs and somehow slapped the ball haphazardly toward the line. It landed neatly just inside the paint, and Shapovalov's next shot was a cross-court winner. It all paid off. Ah, to be young.
