Look How Far Michael Oher Slides on the Levi's Stadium Turf

He moves almost four yards backwards.

Halfway through the second quarter of Super Bowl 50, CBS sideline reporters Evan Washburn and Tracy Wolfson gave reports from the Panthers and Broncos sidelines, respectively, concerning the field conditions. Both teams have had trouble keeping their footing on the turf, and Washburn and Wolfson informed viewers about the efforts they were taking to get a better grip.

According to Washburn, at least four Panthers switched their cleats, and trainers are putting bigger studs on the cleats as well. Hopefully Michael Oher was one of the guys who got bigger studs because he slid nearly four yards backwards as he tried to hold off Demarcus Ware on a third-and-four play late in the first quarter. Oher planted his left foot and it just never stuck, so Ware was able to push him all the way back into Cam Newton, forcing a rushed throw and an incompletion.

According to Tracy Wolfson, the field at Levi's Stadium has been replaced three times since before the season started.
