DeMar DeRozan and Derrick Rose Find Very Different Ways to Troll Knicks Fans

Before hitting the game-winner (over Rose), DeRozan looked at a Knicks fan and said, "Buckets, buckets, buckets."

Is Derrick Rose trying to come up with the perfect metaphor for the New York Knicks' lost 2016-17 season or what?

Perhaps the Toronto Raptors' Patrick Patterson, who stumbled to the ground trying to get back on defense and yet somehow stripped the ball while flat on his back, represents the lackluster bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff race, where a 28-31 record is good enough for the eighth seed. And Rose, who somehow dribbled the ball right into the prone defender, represents the embarrassing way in which his "super team" has utterly failed to take advantage of an easy path to the postseason.

On the other end, Toronto's DeMar DeRozan put on a very different kind of performance art, taunting Knicks fans with "buckets, buckets, buckets" just before hitting the shot to seal the Raptors' 92-91 victory on Monday night.

Before DeRozan hit the game-winner, he walked up to a fan smiling and told him: "Buckets. Buckets. Buckets." (h/t @qb_06) pic.twitter.com/tOof4p3gse

And here is that shot:

Naturally, he hit the shot over Rose. Sometimes these stories just write themselves, particularly when the Knicks and losing are both involved.
