Floyd Mayweather Reveals Glass Jaw, Revokes Credentials for Michelle Beadle and Rachel Nichols

Floyd Mayweather revokes credentials for Michelle Beadle and Rachel Nichols because they say mean things about him.

Hours before he is set to fight Manny Pacquiao in the Fight of the Century/Millenium/Whatever, the undefeated Floyd Mayweather stacked the deck once more when he revoked media credentials for two of his most visible (and female) critics. Both Michelle Beadle and Rachel Nichols reported that they had their credentials for the fight revoked by The Money Team.

No fight for me or @MichelleDBeadle. Mayweather's team told my producer the camp was blocking my credential. https://t.co/JTjjXadPp8

I, along with @Rachel__Nichols, have been banned from the MGM Grand Arena for the fight tonight by the Mayweather camp. #TheFightGame

Mayweather, as you no doubt know by now, is a scumbag of a bully whose own son detailed his violent behavior in the depressing scribble of a 10-year-old kid forced to write about his dad beating up his mom. It's obviously not surprising that the Mayweather camp has reacted this way; Rachel Nichols recently grilled him on his pattern of abuse for CNN, and Michelle Beadle has joined in publicly criticizing him after learning more about his history. We should expect nothing more from a guy who routinely beats women than to reveal himself as a coward unwilling to face anything less than a fawning media.

News is starting to trickle in that others have been banned, including another reporter who has documented Mayweather's history domestic violence, while a PR person from the Mayweather camps denies that Nichols and Beadle have been banned.

In addition to banning @Rachel__Nichols and @MichelleDBeadle, Mayweather declined to credential @mrogersUSAT, who has written great DV stuff

Mayweather has also banned Steve Kim, @ESPNMichele tells me. So progress!

No one including ME banned @Rachel__Nichols from covering the fight. She is already credentialed. #Facts

And @MichelleDBeadle isn't even on the press list. She's credentialed through @HBOboxing. Yes credentialed. #Fact#2

Here's more from Richard Deitsch:

From Showtime Sports PR: Showtime is not part of the media credential process for Mayweather-Pacquiao.
— Richard Deitsch (@richarddeitsch) May 2, 2015

From HBO:HBO is not in charge of media credentials for Mayweather/Pacquiao. They submit credentials to MGM in association w. event promoter.
— Richard Deitsch (@richarddeitsch) May 2, 2015

After hearing my credential was pulled, I went home. Told this morning that HBO was able to get it re-approved late last night.

SI has obtained a copy of most recent seating chart circulated by promoters. Two CNN talent listed as credentialed. @Rachel__Nichols is not.

Update:

Deitsch did some more digging and from his reporting, which you can read here, it sure sounds like Team Money has been playing games with both Beadle's and Nichols's credentials and is now in full-on damage control. Rachel Nichols applied twice for a credential to the fight itself and was denied both times. She was instead given a credential for every other part of the media circus, but not the fight itself. So, when Kelly Swanson says Nichols has always been credentialed, she's half right, half full of shit.

"There are emails," Beadle said. "They lie. It's their job. But I was banned."

As for Michelle Beadle, her story (as related by Deitsch) sounds more like a shell game than the outright denial of Nichols. Several weeks ago she applied for a credential via HBO and as of last night she was apparently still awaiting approval, so she decided to leave Las Vegas rather than stick around for a fight she might not have access to. Miraculously, she was approved after she left.
