Life Imitates Tattoo Art: Hawks Forward Mike Scott Arrested on Drug Charges

Miek Scott was arrested on drug charges, including possession of a whole lot of molly, 70 miles outside of Atlanta on Thursday.

Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott and his brother, Antonn Imhotep Scott, were arrested in Banks County, Georgia––about 70 miles northeast of Atlanta––on Thursday on felony drug charges. In the truck, driven by Antonn, police found over an ounce of marijuana (which would be a very legal amount in places where marijuana is legal) and 10.9 grams of MDMA (which is a lot of "molly").

The arrest happened after police reported the truck tailgating other cars too closely on the highway. Then when police attempted to pull it over, Antonn allegedly sped up to 98 mph in an attempt to flee.

Mike, who was a solid contributor off the bench for a surprising Hawks team last season, is facing charges of felony drug possession that could lead to imprisonment, given MDMA's classification as a Schedule I drug.

He also gained notoriety last season for his love of emoji, his proclamation that he was an early trendsetter in the use of emoji, and his stated goal to eventually have every emoji tattooed on his body. Coincidentally, he has a side-eye emoji between a police officer emoji and police car emoji tattooed on his right shoulder.
