It's the 18th of December, 2015, and Sepp Blatter is still, technically, president of FIFA.

Yesterday, Blatter appeared before the FIFA ethics committee and defended himself.

Theo Zwanziger, the former president of the German Football Federation, has called for fans to boycott the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. As a fan, I wouldn't go to the World Cup in Qatar. Ethically, such a thing isn't justifiable," he told Die Welt. (Link in German)

Lebron James sent Ellie Day, pro golfer Jason Day's wife, to the hospital last night. According to Twitter reports, said she'll be okay.

In case you missed it, yesterday Jose Mourinho was finally fired by Chelsea. We put together a timeline that chronicles his Chelsea demise.

Guus Hiddink will apparently take over as Chelsea boss on an interim basis. He did the same thing when Chelsea fired Luiz Felipe Scolari in 2009.

The bookies think Mourinho will take over at Manchester United at the end of the season. He basically campaigned for that job when he was at Real Madrid, but it was given to David Moyes instead.

Tottenham's proposal to build a 400 million pound, 61,000-seat stadium in London has been approved.
