Listen to Two New Bad Eric Tracks and Get Your Dank Basement Slam On

The whacked-out four-piece lead the charge of the current Greensboro, North Carolina punk scene.

Bad Eric are a bunch of freakazoids from Greensboro, North Carolina who specialise in a munted and damaged rock and roll. They’ve been called skinheads on PCP but we’re not sure if any of them are actually skinheads. We are pretty confident about the PCP.

Along with Wriggle, a band they share members with, the four-piece lead the charge of the current Greensboro punk scene and take no prisoners when it comes to getting people down the front and active, involved, headlocked.

Listen to “G.S.O” and “Wormwood”, two new tracks taken from a recenmt tour tape and read a few words from Mr. Bad Eric himself.

Noisey: You’ve been Bad Eric and the Cobras and Bad Eric and the Fuck Boys. What is the current status?
Bad Eric: We like to change the name with every release. I think the next one we're looking at is Bad Eric and the Diaper Babies.

The two tracks are from a tour tape, right?
Yeah from a tour back in October however, we just got back from doing a weeklong tour down to Florida. The highlight was definitely chilling with our boyfriends in Orlando who play in False Punk and Gross. Greensboro seems to have some cool bands at the moment including Wriggle, Menthol (new tape is dope) and Decoy.
We're just the same seven people playing in seven different bands. There aren't enough punks in GSO, so we keep starting new bands to put on shows, but it's starting to catch on. Decoy is one of few bands from GSO that has some new faces in it.

What songs from your set takes it from two or three guys in the front bumping into each to more people nodding their heads and waving fists?
The two songs on the most recent tour tape seem to open up the fucking pit. But we like to bring the slam to every gig.
