Rapid Vienna Player Scores Accidental Goal—Or Makes Best Feint in History. You Decide

The man is playing jazz with the game of soccer.

Penicillin is said to have been created by accident. And it changed the fucking world—that's all. So too did this goal? Maybe?

While this isn't the kind of goal that would win you a Puskas Award, it truly helps you re-conceptualize not only how a goal can be scored, but the level of intentionality required of any goal. Obviously, Rapid Vienna player Philipp Schobesberger intended to score his second goal against Plzen in Europa League—with his feet. And that's technically how it went down. So who is to say that this wasn't the most amazing intentional fake that you've ever seen?!

Ok, fine, if this were a pool game, the shot wouldn't have counted. But this is soccer. People are rewarded for falling down all the time.
