Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson hooked up for a 67-yard touchdown on the Lions first drive after Stafford shook Giants DE Damontre Moore right out of his shoes. As Stafford scrambled, the play broke down and Johnson was uncovered and just took off deep. All Stafford had to do was launch it deep and let Johnson do the rest.Though it hardly mattered, the Giants secondary provided a good bit of slapstick on the play which helps explain how Johnson was so wide open.
Five minutes later, Stafford and Johnson hooked up on a 16-yard touchdown to put the Lions up 14-0 on the Giants. On the first two possessions alone Stafford has already thrown for 149 yards and two touchdowns.[ESPN]
