Deron Williams Hits Dagger Three From All the Way Downtown to Beat Shot Clock

Deron Williams hit a huge three at the end of the shot clock, giving the Nets a brief lead before both teams settled for overtime.

Deron Williams is having himself quite a night and gave Brooklyn a late lead with this enormous three-pointer to beat the shot clock. Williams, who has 33 points with seven three pointers on the night, gave the Nets a 102-101 lead with just under two minutes left in the game. It looked like they might pull out a win in regulation, but Atlanta tied it up with 16 seconds left.

Williams had a chance to take the lead, but his shot rimmed out and actually gave Atlanta more than enough time to try to win it. Atlanta missed their attempt, though, and they went overtime, where the Nets won 120-115, evening the series at two games a piece.
