The Everton-West Ham Finish Has Been Bonkers

Everton-West Ham have gone to penalties in a wild finish at Upton Park.

Everton have been playing West Ham with ten men since early in the second half and mounted a comeback in the final minutes of a replay game they forced last week with similar late-game heroics. Romelu Lukaku drew a free kick just at the corner of the penalty area in the 81st minute and the kick went to Kevin Mirallas who bent it top shelf, past the diving keeper. There was definitely a lot of space for Mirallas to exploit between the wall and the keeper and exploit it he did.

Mirallas and Lukaku then factored into Everton's lead in extra time, with Mirallas taking a winding run that eventually ended with a pass to Lukaku in front of the net, and he sent it dribbling in for a 2-1 lead. But that lead was brief, as West Ham were not finished. Carlton Cole scored off a set piece when the corner kick sailed past the goal but was headed right into his waiting foot for the equalizer in the blink of an eye.

This one has been wild with dudes just flying all over the place trying to get the win, but penalties await.
