Maxwell and Warner plunder South Africa for huge T20I chase

Huge sixes, tight run chases, spectacular catches - you don't get much better for an International T20.

Say what you want about the relevance of International T20 Cricket, because when it's good, there's not much better spectacle to watch.

And when they're hot, there aren't two batsmen much better than David Warner and Glenn Maxwell at the shortest form of the game.

Warner is an established star at all formats of the international game, but Maxwell has struggled to break out of the doesn't-have-the-temperament-for-Test-cricket reputation he's built for himself with some strange shot selection - particularly to get himself out.

A match winning performance in a T20I won't change that, but it was pretty spectacular. Chasing 205, Warner and Maxwell came together at 3/32 and put on 161 before Mitch Marsh came in to hit the winning runs off the last ball of the match.

This last ball win broke a five game T20 losing streak for Australia at the right time going into the World Cup that starts this week in India.
