Late in the third quarter against the Mavericks, Shaun Livingston got into a little trouble when he was trying to guard Dirk Nowitzki. The two were bumping as Dirk was posting up and it looked like Livingston was trying to keep Dirk from driving middle and then…oops! A forearm to the nuts from behind, classic Ric Flair. The reactions were immediate. Dirk immediately grabbed himself and looked around at Livingston to ask him what the fuck, man? And Livingston instantly regretted everything and tried to explain himself.For what it's worth, it doesn't look like he did it on purpose. In the various angles, you can see Livingston uses his arms to push Dirk from behind and his right arm either slipped, or Dirk moved in a way he wasn't expecting, or a combination of both, causing Livingston's arm to thrust perfectly into Dirk's nuts. Livingston earned a Flagrant 1.A weird side story to this, and maybe someone more familiar with the Dallas broadcast can help explain: one of the guys calling the action kept on saying weird things like "dude you're going all Reggie Evans in this piece" and the foul was "mad questionable on every level."
