Cincinnati Buzzer-Beater Forces Overtime

Troy Caupain sent Cincinnati-Purdue to overtime on a buzzer-beating layup.

Cincinnati forced overtime against Purdue after a wild finish to regulation and without leading scorer Octavius Ellis, who was ejected for throwing an elbow to A.J. Hammons' throat. With seven seconds left, and down two, Troy Caupain actually drove the lane instead of taking a three from the student section and sank the game-tying bucket. Eventually. That thing rattled and bounced around on that rim for…ev…er, and eventually went down. Caupain clearly got it off in time and we all just had to wait to see if it would actually go down.
