Philadelphia 76ers Tank Prize Ben Simmons has a Fracture in His Foot

Simmons broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot when he rolled his ankle in a scrimmage this afternoon.

Welp, another high Philadelphia 76ers draft pick, another busted up foot. As Joel Embiid finally appears ready to make his Sixers debut after two surgeries on his right foot kept him out for the last two seasons, news just, um, broke that this year's No. 1 overall pick, Ben Simmons has a fracture, also in his right foot.

Two sources confirmed that Simmons the fracture and that Simmons will be evaluated further. Team will post announcement shortly

Simmons suffered the injury this afternoon in the final scrimmage of training camp when he rolled his ankle. He was sent out for x-rays and an MRI before doctors made the diagnosis.

Philadelphia opens the season on October 26 at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
