Marshawn Lynch was all set to make a movie about his life, from growing up in Oakland to starring in the NFL, called Family First, and even helped secure $100,000 to get the movie made by family friend Mario Bobino. A few months ago, an unofficial trailer was released and it was, ah, not great. I'm no Roger Ebert, but it's fair to say that the four minutes released could charitably be described as…uninspiring. Or, if you are Marshawn's agent, "terrible."

The full version still exists, and you can view it here, but the clip above is all that survives on YouTube after it was taken down almost as quickly as it went up.It wouldn't have been quite such a problem—"it" being the terribleness of the trailer—had Bobino not released it into the world without getting Marshawn's approval first, but he did and Bobino seems to realize he messed up. Despite their close connection—Bobino went to high school with Marshawn's mother and made a movie about his uncle, Lorenzo Lynch—the two will likely never be friends again.Bobino thinks it boils down to a matter of trust, specifically that Marshawn no longer trusts him because of his unilateral decision to release the trailer, which was only compounded when it was universally panned. Which is a real shame because Bobino even used some of his personal retirement fund to keep making the film, and now it's all over.Still, Bobino has a plan: a movie about the making of this movie."He did a terrible job, and the film will never be released," Lynch's agent, Doug Hendrickson, tells Rolling Stone.
[Rolling Stone]His movie may be dead, but he's currently writing a script about his struggles making it, and the events that transpired after that fateful trailer was released. He's not angry; rather, he feels he must clear his name, no matter what.
