To the surprise of nobody, Barcelona beat Arsenal. The score was 3-1 (5-1 aggregate).

Yesterday's Champions League action was far better than Tuesday's. Bayern managed to beat Juventus 4-2 after Juve went up 2-0, which must have scared the home fans quite a bit. In the end, Bayern went through 6-2 on aggregate. Here's a look at Thiago Alcantara's contribution:

Interestingly, had Juventus won, the Premier League would have lost its fourth Champions League spot.

In the wake of the weird FIFA affair, in which Germany may have bought the hosting rights to the 2006 World Cup through Franz Beckenbauer and other intermediaries, Sky has ended its relationship with the German legend.

Chelsea brass is reportedly considering canceling Alexandre Pato's contract. They were maybe the only people on earth who thought it was a good idea to sign him in the first place, so this isn't such a surprise.
