Kevin Durant Doesn’t “Give a Damn About No Damn Drake Night"

It was Drake Night in Toronto last night and he was all over the place. Hitting on Doris Burke, actually hitting Kevin Durant. All over the place.

It was the third annual Drake Night in Toronto last night, a thing where the Raptors celebrate having a famous fan. The game did not end the way Drake, or the Raptors, would have liked. The Raptors let Drake pick a game on the schedule for his night and like any good frontrunner, he chose the Golden State Warriors. Well, the Warriors won 127-121 and Kevin Durant finished with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. After the game he spoke with ESPN's Israel Gutierrez, and about halfway through the interview, Drake gave Durant a little shove. Durant did not seem happy.

It almost looked like a wry smile was about to flash across his face, but he was staring daggers Drake's way for a minute there. It was a dramatic shift, as just 12 seconds before (in game time, anyway) the two seemed to be enjoying each other's company:

So, it's probably just two friends messing around with each other. Everything you heard before the game talked about how Drake was friends with all the Warriors—there were definitely moments of healthy shit-talking between him and the players during the game, at one point Curry danced in front of him—and Gutierrez actually referred to Drake as Durant's "buddy" in that interview. But…that look was cold.

Also cold? The feeling running up my spine when I watch this clip of Drake talking about how much he loves the "stunning" Doris Burke and wants to invite her to dinner at his place. "As long as she comes alone." All while wearing a shirt with her face on it that said "Woman Crush Everyday."

One Drake Night a year is probably one too many.
