Jordan Spieth's Bunker Shot Gives Him the Old Loopdy-Doo Back into the Same Sand

Spieth seemed caught in a Sisyphean task.

Jordan Spieth is known as a talented bunker player, but today was too much of a match for the man. On the Royal Troon's infamous "Postage Stamp," 123-yard, par 3, 8th hole at The Open, Spieth was caught in a bunker that looks like a giant toddler's footprint. He lifted the ball high to clear a five-foot ridge, only to watch the ball roll back into nearly the exact same spot.

Spieth later conquered his own Sisyphean task, but meanwhile, Spieth's rival Phil Mickelson was a tiny whisper away from scoring a hole-in-one.
